Nisi Dominus

Nisi Dominus is Latin for "Unless the Lord". Our new core teen faith formation program is an innovative and faithful curriculum for middle and high school students focusing on forming teens to seek Christ and make their faith their own. Rather than memorizing facts, we will challenge students to form their own relationship with Christ as members of his Body, the Church. Relying on frequent Eucharistic Adoration and tight-knit small groups, Nisi Dominus aims to prepare students to live their faith in a world increasingly hostile to Christ and His Church. This year it will be offered weekly for all teens, except on Catholic Academy night - teens will be encouraged to sign up to volunteer in the kitchen, nursery, or as classroom assistants that night instead. Teens preparing for Confirmation will have their Confirmation classes during Catholic Academy.

Nisi Dominus programming will be held from 6:30 - 8:30pm in the Christ the King Parish Hall. Early drop-off and a social hour is available from 5:30 - 6:30 to allow families some flexibility and teens to get to know each other better. We will have ping-pong, basketball, and other activities available during this time.

Teens looking for additional opportunities to grow in the faith and spend time as a community can consider attending our supplemental programs - Divine Word Theater and Neri Nights.
